HOLIDAY HOUSE

Decorating for the holidays has been taken to a whole new level in New York City.

GunkelmanFlesher’s Andrew Flesher and an elite group of New York designers were selected to take part in a holiday and celebration themed designer showhouse, called Holiday House, to benefit the Greater New York City Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

Each room of the Holiday House will feature a different holiday or celebration in life. Andrew, for example, will transform the main hall into a celebration of Hanukah.  

An invitation-only Gala Preview Party will be held on Monday, November 3rd, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at the Metropolitan Club in New York. Then, Holiday House, which is located at 2 East 63rd Street, New York, will be open daily from November 4th through December 7th for public review. Hours are Monday – Sunday 11:00 – 5:00, and Thursdays 11:00 – 8:00 pm.  For more information or to buy tickets please email holidayhouse@hgnyc.com.

Dan's Back - Front and Center

Dan Rymanowski is back at GunkelmanFlesher’s front desk.  Or, as the returning administrative assistant likes to call it, “I’m back running the front office.”

Initially, Dan ruled the front office at GF from 1997 to 2004. “Then I had to leave for a warmer climate. I had lived in Minnesota my whole life and that was enough at that point,” he said. Hearing the siren song of Las Vegas, he headed for the desert where he was a sales representative for Louis Vuitton at Caesar’s Forum.  Having worked for the king of luxury leather in the past, it was an easy transition.

Dan never lost touch with his GF family, though. “The people here are the best. And the clients are wonderful,” he said. So, when the position recently became available again, GF asked and Dan answered.

What brought the self-proclaimed “Voice of GunkelmanFlesher” back? “This is a special place. The quality of product, the customer service, the high end design… it’s all very good.” he explained. “But it’s the people that brought me back.”
